Frequently asked questions about our planters

Do they have drainage holes?

Some do and some do not, and it is stated on each product page. If there is no hole, use it as a cover pot with the plastic nursery pot inside: easier to water and the plant will thank you.

What size plant fits?

The measurements are on every product page. As a general rule, go one size up from the pot the plant came in, and repot in spring.

Can they go outside?

Ceramic is fine on a sheltered balcony but does not enjoy frost. If it lives outdoors all winter, bring it in when it gets cold or expect cracks.

Do they make a good present?

A plant on its own is a plant. A plant in a planter with a face on it is a present. Same plant, entirely different reaction. See also home decor.
