Striped beach parasol with fringing and UV50 protection

A retro-style beach parasol, with striped fabric finished in fringing. The fabric is polyester with UV50 protection, which is the figure that matters: not every parasol filters radiation, plenty of them only make shade.

The structure is 28/32 millimetre aluminium tube — light to carry and rust-free — with 8 fibreglass ribs, which flex in the wind instead of snapping, which is how metal ribs end up after two summers.
